Last year, NYC-based Bechdel Project awarded a grant for the development of “Brad Pitt’s My Bitch.” The grant ensured that the play could reach new heights by funding its research, a workshop and a rewrite. I am so grateful and honored to be a member of the Project’s FIFE Fellowship, a writers-led collective. FIFE stands for Feminism is for Everybody and draws its inspiration from the writing of bell hooks. The multi-year fellowship supports the creation of new work for the stage or screen.
